There’s a media company called Out of this World in Australia and the CEO’s official title is “Chief Swashbuckler and Idea Merchant”. Apparently he gets quite irate if he’s referred to as anything else. The girl I know who works there is officially: “art director and miracle worker”. The second part got added after she saved her boss from a snowstorm in the US last year. And yes, that’s what her business card actually says.

I used to staff Evangelists in my last company for business transformation and process improvement jobs. I notice this title emerging quite a bit. How about a business life improvement coach? I staffed one of those once as well as a Brand Evangelist. It is quite funny how companies are coming up with these titles.
