by gscott [permalink]
A new feature has been added to Jiibe.com. It allows a Jiiber to see what companies match with a new Gap Report. A user can now see how closely they match with more accurate factor comparisons.

Launch Party 3
by gscott [permalink]
I attended Launch Party 3. Good times and good excuse to go out instead of work. I think I arrived too late because most of the presenters were wrapping up. It was a good reno for Gastown’s Lamplighter. Big TV’s seems to be the design element of choice for bars in Vancouver. I am looking forward to the next Launch Party. Thanks Maura and gang.

by gscott [permalink]
This is a new venture of an old friend of mine. Ron is now the CEO of Sitemasher. They have some big plans for their product. I can’t wait to see the first beta version of Sitemasher! I know Ron is a great manager, tonnes of laughs and well like by his staff. So check out Sitemasher, if they are looking for people and you have the skills drop them an email, or make friends with Ron on Jiibe, and they might be able to make you a part of their staff. Here is his company Jiibe Tag Cloud:

So… You Wanna be a Disney Star in Japan!?
by gscott [permalink]
This is a performers (Snow White, etc.) guidelines document from Tokyo Disney printed some time around 1994. It is interesting to see the “Disney Look” - fourth page below. What is “unnatural hairstyle” anyhow? Obviously, for performers the standards that they are allowed to set are much different than regular employees. However, this is Japan, so I wonder if their standards are similar for other jobs. I hope to hear some comments.
Disney is also going Web 2.0 with their auditions in 2007. Check out this Blog about a Disney Dream Job - http://www.thedisneyblog.com/tdb/2007/02/disney_dream_jo.html
